Muriel is the new help at the riding school “The Horse Ranch”. She spends her days cleaning out the stables and brushing the horses. But secretly she is dreaming about riding herself and becoming a jumping champion – like her mother was. For now, her dreams are all she’s got. Nobody really notices her and that spoilt, popular Marie-Claire wins all the competitions, is adored by everyone. Even her father is against Muriel’s riding plans, always remembering his wife’s fatal accident during her last competition. However, Muriel finds a way to handle frantic horse Amika, and with the help of stableman John she secretly starts practicing in the fields to compete in the upcoming big annual jumping competition. Suddenly, Marie-Claire finds out about this and Amika mysteriously disappears without a trace right before the competition… Will it be the end of Muriel’s dream?
